NATO on Thursday dismissed media reports that a NATO air strike damaged the embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Tripoli.

"It has been alleged that NATO attacked the embassy; this is simply not true. In fact, the embassy is located some 500 meters from the target we struck," the alliance said in a statement.

Earlier, at least three civilians were killed on Thursday, including two local journalists during a NATO raid that targeted the capital Tripoli, said spokesman of the General People's Committee Moussa Ibrahim.

"The journalists were taking photos of the place when missiles landed near them leading to their death," Ibrahim said in statements carried by the Libyan news agency.

Explosions were also heard near Bab Al-Aziziyah area, the residence of Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi, added Ibrahim.

Libya's state TV on Wednesday broadcast a video showing Gaddafi in a meeting with tribal leaders refuting rumors about Gaddafi's death during NATO's raids.
