Attending the event are 93 wrestlers from 10 cities and provinces across the country including Bac Giang, Hanoi, Nghe An, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Ha Nam, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Military Club and the Police Club.

On the first day of competition, in the 56kg event, Nguyen Van Trung from the Military Club defeated Ha Van Chung from Phu Tho while Hanoi’s Ngo Van Sam lost to Vinh Phuc’s Le Trung Ha.
