Starting from July 5, people from pandemic-hit areas who are traveling to provinces such as Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, and Lam Dong for work or to transport goods, must have certificates of COVID-19 tests. They must show that the individual has tested negative for the virus within three to seven days from the date of their test results.

So far, the hospital in the southern city has received roughly 1,000 people who need to have the certificates in order to travel to other localities.

From 6 a.m. on July 6, many people line up in front of the hospital’s gate. The majority of them are drivers and workers who require the certificates to move to neighbouring localities such as Dong Nai and Binh Duong.

Dinh Van Thuan, 58, residing in Go Vap district, says this marks the third time that he has undergone a COVID-19 test as the certificates are only valid for a few days.
