Multimedia Photos Tuesday, 17:19, 23/11/2021 Hanoi begins COVID-19 vaccinations for teenagers VOV.VN - The capital on November 23 launched its COVID-19 vaccination campaign for teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17. The campaign has been launched after the municipal Health Department received more than 300,000 Pfizer doses allocated by the Ministry of Health . It is anticipated that the inoculation drive will be completed by November 25. The vaccination locations will be at schools for students, or health stations for children who do not go to school or who study in other localities. Children suffering from congenital or chronic diseases will receive their jabs at local hospitals. Dong Da district is allocated a total of 14,188 doses and students there receive vaccination at seven points. After November 25 the capital will implement vaccinations for children aged from 12 to 15. At a vaccination point in Phan Huy Chu High School, students arrive in the early morning in order to prepare for their inoculation. Prior to receiving their jab, students undergo thorough checks according to the Ministry of Health’s guideance. After getting their first shot, all of the teenagers must remain at the site for 30 minutes before they are permitted to leave. Seats in the waiting areas are specially arranged with plenty of space to avoid crowding. Some parents also arrive at the vaccination points to encourage their children. As scheduled, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training plans to resume face to face learning for children aged 15 to 17 in early December. VOV
