Fansipan peak covered in frost as temperatures plunge to 1°C

According to Sun World Fansipan Legend, a tourism, resort, and entertainment complex in Sa Pa, temperatures at the flagpole area on Mount Fansipan fall to around 1°C from the night of December 24 to the morning of December 25, causing frost to blanket the area. The phenomenon occurs relatively frequently, and if cold air continues to intensify, frost is likely to reappear, says a Sun World Fansipan Legend representative.

Freezing conditions are recorded from the early morning of December 25, allowing a layer of white frost to form across walkways, open surfaces and areas surrounding the national flagpole at the summit, which rises 3,143m above sea level.

The rare phenomenon has drawn the attention of many visitors, including foreign tourists, who stop to photograph the frost-covered landscape, shrouded in mist and marked by low temperatures rarely seen in much of Vietnam.
