Meanwhile, at Sac Tu Khai Doan Pagoda in Buon Ma Thuot ward, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dak Lak province conducts the Buddha bathing ritual.

This year’s Vesak celebration in Dak Lak draws a large gathering of monks, nuns, and Buddhists from ethnic communities across the region.

Across many areas of Dak Lak, preparations for the Vesak Week are being carried out in full swing. Monks, nuns, Buddhists, and volunteers are joining efforts to build the main stage and decorate Sac Tu Khai Doan Pagoda with flags, flowers, and lights, where many key activities of this year’s Vesak celebrations will be held.

Notably, on the evenings of May 27 and 28 (the 11th and 12th days of the fourth lunar month), the opening ceremony and Buddha’s birthday flower float procession will be held at Khai Doan Pagoda and travel through major streets of Buon Ma Thuot ward. The events are expected to create a festive yet solemn atmosphere, while spreading messages of peace, unity, and compassion to the community.
