APEC Convention Centre in Phu Quoc taking shape ahead of 2027 Summit

The APEC Convention and Exhibition Centre is taking shape along Phu Quoc’s southern coast, An Giang province. The complex spans more than 150,000 square metres of floor space and is being developed by Sun Group under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Inspired by ocean waves and traditional fishing-village life, the centre’s sweeping roof creates a distinctive silhouette against the coastal landscape, as seen from Kiss Bridge in Sunset Town.

The centre’s vast roof structure reveals the scale of the project, with its flowing curves becoming increasingly prominent against the sea and sky.

The completed steel framework reveals the roof’s signature curves, bringing the actual structure closer to the original architectural design.

All 13 steel roof spans have been installed, involving approximately 12,000 tonnes of structural steel—a major milestone as the project moves towards architectural finishing.
