VOV.VN - Eighty years ago, on January 6, 1946, Vietnam held the first nationwide General Election to elect the National Assembly. The elelection marked a historic milestone in the establishment of a democratic system and legally affirmed the Vietnamese people’s right to mastery.

State, NA leaders visit exhibition on popularising first general election

State President Luong Cuong, National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and other Party and State leaders as well as NA deputies on October 23 visited an exhibition featuring the “Nhat bao Quoc hoi (National Assembly Daily) with the first general election (in 1946).
