From early morning, forces of the Hanoi Police, working with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and the Capital Command, deploy formations and take up positions in line with the full-scale rehearsal plan.

At the National Convention Center, a key venue, security measures are tightened with multiple layers of control to ensure a sealed perimeter.

While inspecting on-duty posts along access routes to the National Convention Center, the protective perimeter and motorcade escort arrangements, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat listened to briefings from post commanders on the deployment of personnel and equipment.

Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat also monitored traffic volume and density, instructing the Traffic Police Department to adjust traffic diversion plans in a more flexible and effective manner to avoid major disruption to daily life.

The Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police stress that each officer on duty must have a firm grasp of the plan and maintain proper posture, protocol and professional conduct of a People’s Public Security officer. Checks on people and vehicles entering the protected area must be carried out strictly and closely, following the principle of ‘normal conditions outside, tight control inside.’

Following the on-site inspection this morning, city police leaders say Hanoi police forces are largely operating the overall plan effectively, coordinating closely with units from the Ministry of Public Security and the Capital Command, and are ready to enter the peak phase of security operations for the country’s major political event with the highest level of resolve.

The 14th National Party Congress , a major political event of the country, carries particular significance for the cause of national construction and defence in the new development period, and will take place over seven days, from January 19 to January 25, 2026.
