An additional 780,000 people nationwide were provided with jobs in the first six months of this year thanks to joint efforts by localities and businesses.

A majority of the jobs were in rural areas as a result of programmes to develop agriculture and restore traditional crafts.

Meanwhile, about 46,000 people were recruited to work abroad following contracts with foreign partners in the review period.
