Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd (MHI), one of the big players in Japan’s heavy industry sector, inaugurated a new generator manufacturing plant in the southern province of Binh Duong on March 1.
MHI Engine System Vietnam, situated in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, cost US$7.7 million to build.
The new plant, the second in Vietnam after MHI opened its aircraft components factory in Hanoi last year, is designed to churn out 300 generators per year initially, and 1,000 in the following years.
Mitsubishi is capable of manufacturing in a range of products like machinery, aircraft and ships.
