At least seven miners were trapped in a flooded colliery in Xiangtan City in central China's Hunan Province, said local authorities early morning on December 1.
A spokesman with the county government told Xinhua agency the accident happened at 11:40 PM on November 30 in the Yide Coal Mine in Xiangtan County of Xiangtan City.
No further details are available yet and rescue work is underway.
