Gucci opens store in Ho Chi Minh City

Gucci on November 13 announced the opening of its store in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s Dong Khoi shopping district.

Although Gucci has been present in Vietnam since 2007 through a local franchisee, the opening of the store means the brand is going to directly manage its distribution in the market.

The aim is to ensure that Gucci's growing customer base in Vietnam can enjoy the highest level of service and quality product offering.

Located on the first floor of the Sheraton Saigon Hotel on Dong Khoi Street, the city’s luxury shopping destination, the store design employs open space and luxurious materials and finishes such as to create a spectacular backdrop for the collections.

The space features armchairs and benches in pale pink, vibrant cherry red and pistachio velvet upholstery. Signature Gucci materials are enhanced with the introduction of elements such as polished nickel, clear glass and mirrors.

Geometric lines, including stylised examples of Gucci’s signature web striping, define the façade, adding further symbolic detailing.

The 2,910 square foot store will offer the house's accessories collections for men and women, including handbags, small leather goods, shoes, travel pieces, silks, timepieces, jewellery and fragrances.

Founded in Florence in 1921, Gucci is one of the world’s leading luxury fashion brands, with a renowned reputation for creativity, innovation and Italian craftsmanship.

Gucci is part of the Kering Group, a world leader in apparel and accessories that owns a portfolio of powerful luxury and sport and lifestyle brands.
