The Berjaya Group from Malaysia has decided to invest in two monorail projects in Ho Chi Minh City.

A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed on March 25 in the presence of Mayor Le Hoang Quan.

One of the two railway lines is to connect Ho Chi Minh City with the Quang Trung Software Park and the other to National Highway No. 50.

The Malaysian group has also signed a contract with the Ky Hoa Company Ltd. to build a financial and commercial centre in district 10. The project will also comprise office buildings, hotels, shops and tourist services of five-star standards.
