Macao will maintain its multi-faceted relations with Vietnam, said new Chief Executive of China’s Macao Special Administrative Region Fernando Chui Sai On.
At a reception for Vietnamese Consul General to the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions Pham Cao Phong on January 27, Chu Sai On said that Vietnam is a partner with great potential.
The Vietnamese representative reviewed major developments in the Vietnam-Macao relationship with a continuous increase in two-way trade and investment in recent years.
The Hanoi-Macao direct air route, scheduled to open on February 13, will help boost the cooperation and exchange between Vietnamese and Macao residents, he said.
He also asked the new Macao Chief Executive to continue creating conditions for the two sides to strengthen their cooperation in economics, trade, investment, labour, education and culture.
