Children of ethnic minorities in six disadvantaged communes in the northwestern mountainous province of Dien Bien are to benefit from a comprehensive education project funded by Japan’s ISUZU group.

ISUZU has provided US$2 million through World Vision Vietnam for the construction of a VND10 billion boarding school for ethnic minority children, to assist agricultural production and to advise parents and teachers on the education of their children.

In addition, 70 breeding cows and fruit varieties have been donated to farmers, who also have the opportunity to attend a number of training courses in husbandry and farming techniques.
