Vietnam ready to facilitate US enterprises' operations

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue has assured the Vietnamese Government's willingness to offer the best possible conditions in line with domestic and relevant international laws for US enterprises.

At a May 2 reception for Michael Kelly, Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Hanoi, the Deputy PM said Vietnam believes that all of hurdles will be removed to further enhance investment and trade between the two nations.

He said he hopes that the AmCham, the US-ASEAN Business Council and

US businesses will act as a bridge helping to promote the diplomatic and economic relations as well as the common development of Vietnam and the US in the time ahead.

The two countries have complementary economies and Vietnam does not give the guideline to enjoy trade surplus with the US but focuses on exporting key products while purchasing high-tech and eco-friendly goods from the US to meet the demands of businesses and people from both sides.

In reply, Kelly greatly valued the development in the bilateral diplomatic and economic ties over the past time,  which he said, has made considerable contributions to mutually benefiting enterprises.

As Vietnam is forecast to achieve the strongest economic growth in Asia, US firms will have more opportunities to partner with their Vietnamese businesses in future, he told his host.

The US enterprises are keen to cooperate with Vietnamese firms in the fields of healthcare, tax, digital economy, banking, defence-security and energy security, among others, he added.

He affirmed the AmCham's readiness to work hand in hand with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises to augment cooperation and investment between the two sides and help the two Governments to deal with difficulties in trade and investment.
