Singapore leads foreign investors in Vietnam in two months
VOV.VN - There were 1,569 valid Singapore-invested projects with total registered capital of more than US$36 billion in Vietnam up to February 20, 2016, making the island nation the third among 112 foreign investors, according to Foreign Investment Agency (FIA).
With an accumulated registered investment of nearly US$469 million invested in 30 new projects and six operational, Singapore topped foreign investors in Vietnam during the first two months of this year.
HCM City is seen as an investment attraction leader from Singaporean businesses with 786 projects valued at US$9.6 billion.
The FIA said Singaporean businesses’ increased investment and effective operations of their projects in Vietnam have helped generate more jobs for local people and spur Vietnam’s exports and economic growth.
