Quang Ninh pledges support for private sector

In addition, they committed to work closely with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), to lay out plans for new collaborative efforts in a number of important areas such as trade facilitation, e-commerce, investment and competition law.

Regional and global integration has placed a heavy burden on private businesses said Nguyen Duc Long, chair of the Committee, with many small businesses feeling apprehensive about their lack of competitiveness.

They are deficient in many of the skills and capital that their foreign counterparts possess, said Mr Long, and so it’s important that the Committee and VCCI reassure them that we will work diligently in their best interest over the next few years.

Mr Long said strong collaboration between the public and private sectors is vital for the nation to successfully navigate through all of the obstacles and make progress towards achieving an open market economy.

We hope to send a clear message to private businesses in the city that we are committed to ensuring they share in the benefits of enhanced international trade and receive the support they need to compete effectively.
