India eyes investments of US$550 million in Quang Binh
(VOV) - A contingent of investors from India met with the local provincial authorities and business leaders in central Quang Binh province on June 13 to discuss the potential for future cooperation and investment.
During the meeting, Satpal Singh Oberai, managing director of one of India’s leading financial institutions, Bombay Finance India, expressed pleasure with the number of great opportunities in the region.
Oberai indicated the group was most interested in three projects requiring an estimated US$550 million cash outlay.
The trio consisted of a tourism project in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park that would provide sightseeing tours of a cave, a project to construct a tourist resort and golf course along with another that would produce industrial products.
Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Huu Hoai, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, extended his sincere appreciation for the group’s visit and assured his guests the province was committed to creating the best of conditions for them.
