The 2006 Food, Beverage and Aquatic Product International Fair (Vietfood 2006) kicked off in Hanoi on January 5.

The fair has attracted many renowned Vietnamese enterprises, associations, and research institutes such as Nestle Vietnam, Seaprodex Vietnam and foreign enterprises from China, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Singapore.

Prominent at the fair are a wide range of aquatic items produced by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers’ enterprises, which demonstrate the export potential of Vietnam’s aquatic products.

Many other products such as sugar, milk, soft drinks, processed fruit, canned food, and frozen food are also being showcased at the fair.

The five-day fair will also include sales promotion programmes and games.
