A group of four Vietnamese athletes will begin to climb Mt Everest from April 6.

Le Ba Cong, Nguyen Mau Linh, Bui Van Ngoi, and Phan Thanh Liem will set off from Nepal to approach the “roof of the world” from the south.

They are expected to reach the 8,888m peak of the mountain in two months.

They have already conquered Vietnam’s Mt Fansipan (3,143m high), Malaysia’s Mt Kinabalu (4,095m), and Nepal’s Island Peak (6,160m).
