The Vietnamese football team gathered in Hanoi on September 30 to prepare for a friendly match against Japan on October 7.
Defender Huynh Quang Thanh will be the new team captain because midfielder Phan Van Tai Em was not called up for this match.
The team will train every day at the Vietnam Football Federation Centre for Training Young Players and will travel to Kobe, Japan on October 4.
