The German-based P Dussmann Vietnam Co Ltd on November 30 opened an industrial laundry factory in Thuan An district of southern Binh Duong province, the first of its kind in Vietnam.

The 14,000 sq.m factory has a design capacity of 20,000 kg of laundered and sterillised sheets a day to serve hospital clients, said the company.

The US$6.5 million factory will clean items used in surgery as well as staff uniforms, and will offer sheets and uniforms for hire.
