Zurich discussion opens gateway for cooperation between Khanh Hoa, Swiss firms

A delegation from the central province of Khanh Hoa led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Toan recently had a working session with the Swiss-Vietnamese Economic Forum (SVEF) as part of a working trip to Switzerland.

SVEF President Philipp Rösler highlighted that Swiss enterprises and businesses in other European countries appreciate Vietnam’s potential, remarkable achievements, and forward-looking development plans.

He noted that Vietnam is holding great opportunities across multiple potential sectors, offering new momentum for enterprises from both sides to form partnerships in key areas.

Echoing the viewpoint, SVEF Vice President Ivo Sieber said that Swiss businesses highly value Vietnam’s economic development and see the present moment as ideal for expanding into the country and the wider Asia–Pacific region, a market with huge potential.

Sieber suggested Khanh Hoa explore Switzerland’s strengths in finance, pharmaceuticals, and digital transformation while Switzerland is also keen to promote tourism collaboration with Vietnam.

Toan, for his part, asked for the SVEF’s support to connect Swiss firms with Khanh Hoa for on-site surveys and partnership opportunities.

At the event, representatives from SIX, JANZZ.Technoly, Health Tech Fund, and the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce expressed their interest in establishing extensive cooperation with Khanh Hoa in the coming time.

Philipp Rösler told the Vietnam News Agency that dialogue opened avenues for Swiss enterprises to gain deeper insights into the Vietnamese market. He said he hopes that this meeting, along with the SVEF's upcoming activities in Da Nang, will strengthen economic relations between the two countries.
