Zamil Steel Vietnam will design and construct manufacturing facilities for two motorcycle manufacturers Yamaha Vietnam and Honda Vietnam under a contract signed on November 11.
Accordingly, Zamil will provide a 2,500-tonne steel structure for Yamaha’s factory in Hanoi’s Noi Bai Industrial Zone, and erect a 3,000 tonne facility with an area of 40,000 sq.m for Honda in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.
Both projects are scheduled for operation by the third quarter of 2008 with an initial capacity of 250 units for Yamaha and 500 units for Honda per year.
In August, Zamil supplied telephone producer Uniden Vietnam with a US$3.7-million steel frame to construct a 60,000 sq.m factory in northern Hai Duong province.
