Western Australia, Vietnam forge closer business links

VOV.VN - The Belmont Business Enterprise Centre (Belmont BEC) has recently organized the “Ask an Expert-Belmont Business Sundowner” event at the Firehouse Center in Belmont, Western Australia, to enhance connections, share experience, and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in accessing business, trade, and export-import opportunities.

The event was attended by Vietnam’s Consul General in Perth, Nguyen Thanh Ha; representatives from Vietnam Airlines in Western Australia, Doan Thang; as well as business leaders, industry experts, and support organizations across the state.

Speaking at the event, Consul General Nguyen Thanh Ha highlighted the potential and advantages of cooperation between Vietnam and Western Australia across trade, investment, agriculture, energy, mining, education, and tourism.

He emphasized that Western Australia is currently a key partner of Vietnam in the global supply chain. The Consulate General pledged to continue supporting both business communities by facilitating information exchange, expanding markets, and fully exploiting cooperation potential to promote trade, investment, and innovation.

The event offered in-depth insights on topics including exports, logistics, branding, cybersecurity, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI), boosting Vietnam’s visibility within Western Australia’s business community and opening new cooperation opportunities.

Kelly Crossley from Australian transport company Transitaimer WA presented modern logistics management solutions to optimize international goods transportation.

Hugh Collin of Viet Coffee, Australia’s largest online retailer of Vietnamese coffee and tea in the Asia-Pacific region, shared experience in building the Vietnamese coffee brand locally. He stated that Vietnam is the world’s second-largest coffee exporter, accounting for 20% of global supply, renowned for its high caffeine content and rich flavor. Viet Coffee aims to promote high-quality Vietnamese coffee to the international market.

Nageswaree Kodai from Belmont BEC introduced the “Safe AI for Business” online workshop, guiding enterprises on safe and effective AI adoption.

Kumar Peiris of TCF Australia Export Project outlined strategies for export expansion and online sales, while offering free export consultations, introductory export workshops, international marketing guidance, and risk mitigation solutions.

Belmont BEC also presented low-cost training programs to strengthen SMEs’ management and international business skills. The Project/Program for Community & Family (PCF) provided customized consultancy packages for each enterprise on export planning, brand building, and global partnership connections.
