WAIFC willing to engage in Vietnam financial centre project
VOV.VN - Leaders of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), a non-profit financial association, and German businesses have said they are ready to engage in building international financial centres in Vietnam.

During a recent meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh in Germany, leaders of the WAIFC and leading German financial enterprises, including DZ Bank, Brosnan Norden, Mountain Alliance AG, and DAS Investment, praised Vietnam’s initiative to build financial centres in Vietnam, considering this is a strategic and wise decision that will ensure a strong financial future for the country.
They affirmed their willingness to share knowledge and expertise, assist Vietnam in accessing necessary funding sources, and provide high-quality human resources to ensure the financial centrds’ efficient and swift operations in future. They also pledged to encourage and connect German and international businesses to invest in and engage in this project in Vietnam.
Binh, who paid a working visit to Germany on March 23 - 24 emphasized Vietnam highly values its relations with Germany and believes that there is great potential for further development, especially in economic and trade cooperation. He appreciated the interest and commitment of German experts and major enterprises in promoting the establishment and development of international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang of Vietnam.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that establishing international financial centres is a crucial solution to accelerating Vietnam’s economic growth. He called on businesses to share their experiences and provide practical advice on building these financial centres.
During the meeting, both sides shared information related to the development of financial centres, including distinguishing the roles of the two international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, selecting the financial centre model, and developing fintech and digital assets.
