Vingroup, Intel ink MoU on technology co-operation
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s leading private economic conglomerate Vingroup has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic co-operation with Intel Corporation in the field of technology.
Five major areas of co-operation include 5G-enabled smart city solutions, smart manufacturing processes, multi-cloud strategy, artificial intelligence, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
The deal is expected to see Vingroup and Intel jointly evaluate the potential of developing solutions for 5G-enabled smart cities and smart buildings, as well as various smart cities applications by Vinhomes.
Both sides will co-operate in order to build and deploy Internet of Things (IoT) smart factory solutions forthe VinES battery manufacturing factory and VinFast automobile manufacturing facility.
They will work together to build an optimised computing architecture which is capable of providing consumers with a new experience of the group’s vehicles, featuring various smart functions and artificial intelligence.
The two sides will simultaneously share a common vision for automotive computing platforms, as well as striving to build extended computing platforms for ADAS based on Mobileye technology and multimedia infotainment system.
Le Thi Thu Thuy, vice chairwoman of Vingroup and global CEO of VinFast, said through this co-operation, Vingroup aims to realise its vision of creating a smart and sustainable future for everyone.
Sharing this perspective, Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel Corporation, emphasised that partnering with Vingroup will contribute to creating technological breakthroughs for safer roads, sustainable factories, and smarter cities.
