VinFast to inaugurate Ha Tinh electric vehicle factory in late June
VOV.VN - VinFast, Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle (EV) maker, is scheduled to inaugurate its EV manufacturing plant at the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ha Tinh province, on June 29, marking a significant milestone in Vietnam’s journey toward developing its electric automotive industry.

The VND7.3 trillion project, equal to US$279 million, broke ground on December 8, 2024 by Vinhomes Ha Tinh Industrial Park Investment JSC.
The factory that sits on over 36 hectares of land is now fully complete and ready for operation, less than seven months after the project's initial inception.
The factory has a designed production capacity of 300,000 vehicles per year in its first phase, and up to 600,000 vehicles per year over the following phases. Once fully operational, the facility will generate around 6,000 jobs, with potential to grow to 15,000 in subsequent stages.
VinFast Ha Tinh will focus on manufacturing the VF 3 and VF 5 car lines. Key components such as chassis, motors, and electronic parts will be supplied by VinFast Hai Phong, while battery packs will be partially sourced from a battery factory located within the same Vung Ang Economic Zone. Vehicles produced at the Ha Tinh factory will serve both domestic and international markets.
This is VinFast’s fifth EV manufacturing facility globally.
By the end of April 2025, VinFast’s global retail network has reached 388 stores, including both direct-to-consumer (DTC) outlets and dealership locations. In 2025, the Vietnamese EV maker aims to at least double its global vehicle deliveries, targeting key markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, North America, and Europe.
VinFast is also actively exploring additional opportunities in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
