Viettel retains crown as Vietnam’s most valuable brand in 2025
VOV.VN - The Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) has once again reaffirmed its leading position as the most valuable brand in Vietnam in 2025, with a valuation of US$7.4 billion, according to UK-based Brand Finance.
In its Vietnam 100 2025 report released on September 9, Brand Finance notes the military-run telecom group has leveraged heavy investment in technology and partnerships to maintain its lead in the digital economy.
This marks the 10th consecutive year Viettel has held the top spot in the Vietnam 100 ranking, underscoring its sustainable strength and consistent growth strategy.
Vinamilk ranked second with US$2.6 billion, down 2%, followed by Vietcombank with US$2.4 billion, up 16%.
The report highlights that the banking sector is leading the digitalization trend, with 87% of brands accelerating digital transformation. Real estate grew 27%, while technology rose 10%, reflecting Vietnamese companies’ adaptability in a challenging global economic environment.
MBBank stood out as the fastest-growing brand, soaring 87% to reach US$1.6 billion, thanks to a comprehensive digitalization strategy and a focus on expanding the small and medium enterprise segment.
In the brand strength category, Vinpearl claimed the top spot with US$204 million, followed by Vietcombank and Bao Viet.
Overall, the combined value of Vietnam’s top 100 brands hit US$38.4 billion, down 14% from 2024 amid a slowing global economy, despite Vietnam’s GDP still forecast to grow 7% this year.
Alex Haigh, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific at Brand Finance, noted that Vietnamese brands continue to demonstrate resilience amid a global decline in brand value. He highlighted Viettel’s 5G network expansion, MBBank’s commitment to digital growth, and Vinpearl’s record-breaking performance as clear examples of this adaptability.
Vietnam also made significant progress in sustainability, with new regulations on greenhouse gas reporting in line with the country’s net-zero emissions target by 2050. In the sustainability perceptions value ranking, Viettel led with US$400 million, driven by its commitment to green technology and community contribution. VietinBank also stood out with the highest positive uplift of US$9 million, reflecting strong potential in enhancing its sustainable reputation.
