Agencies in Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) are currently completing necessary administrative procedures for shipping Vietnamese mangoes to the Korean market.
Nguyen Huu Dat, an official from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, is implementing measures to prevent insects from destroying mango crops and ensure the quality of mangoes for export.
The RoK plant protection agency sent a delegation to Vietnam earlier to inspect production and packaging processes. They will be drawing up official standards Vietnamese mangoes must meet before they are exported to Korea.
According to Dat, local mangoes are scheduled to be transported to the RoK within the next couple months.
