The first batch of handicraft products worth US$5,700 has been exported to the British market by Lac Phuong Nam company in Ho Chi Mih City.

The products are glasses, trays and boxes made of bamboo and coated with lacquer.

 

Lac Phuong Nam company has set up a new factory in southern Binh Duong province, generating jobs for 70 local people. The company has nearly 100 new designs to meet the increasing demand for export, which is estimated to double last year’s figure.

 

The company is carrying out contracts with US and Japanese partners to export handicraft products worth US$440,000 in total value.
