Vietnamese firms attend IGF 17 event in Seoul

VOV.VN - A number of Vietnamese businesses have gathered at the 17th Import Goods Fair (IGF 17), which opened in the COEX Convention Center in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, on June 27.

The event provides a platform for foreign manufacturers and suppliers to promote their brands and introduce their high-quality products to an array of Korean importers and consumers.

On display at the Vietnamese pavilions were handicrafts, dairy and coffee products, and food and beverages from popular domestic firms such as Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company, more commonly known as Vinamilk, EcoLink Vietnam, CraftBeauty Co, Ltd, and Global Trading Connection Company Limited.

The opening day of IGF 17 saw Global Trading Connection Company Limited introduce their exclusive ‘Café Meet & More’ product, a product with a combination of flavours including coffee from the Central Highlands blended with different types of fruits such as coconuts, mints, and Noni.

The event was packed with Korean visitors and has received a large amount of publicity.

Nguyen Ngoc Luan, director of the Global Trading Connection Company Limited, said the company has included of a range of the nation’s agricultural products in their coffee but has still been able to keep the taste of traditional Vietnamese coffee.

The company plans to launch a number of products which combines the flavours of different types of fruit. The move aims to seek new outlets for domestic agricultural products in the coming time.

The IGF expo has been held annually since 2003. This year, the event has been organised on a large scale with the participation of over 250 businesses from 46 nations and territories from around the world in addition to more than 20,000 foreign visitors.

The expo is set to last until June 29.
