Vietnam unveils report on AI economy for 2025
VOV.VN - The National Innovation Centre (NIC), in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), on June 12 launched a report detailing the landscape of Vietnam’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) economy for 2025.

The report presents a comprehensive overview of the country’s AI potential, emerging trends, and strategic development directions. It forms part of the efforts to implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo, which focuses on driving breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
The ceremony gathered around 100 delegates, including representatives from key ministries, research institutions, universities, international organizations, investment funds, tech corporations, startups, and AI experts from both Vietnam and Japan.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on global technology trends, AI policy frameworks, and practical application models. An exhibition area showcased real-world AI solutions across various sectors such as manufacturing, education, finance, and smart cities, demonstrating how AI is being deployed in both Vietnam and Japan.
The ceremony served as a platform to announce new research findings and offer detailed analyses on the prospects and direction of Vietnam's AI-driven economy. Importantly, it provided a valuable networking and collaboration space for startups, tech companies, and young experts to exchange ideas and promote cooperation.
In recent years, AI has emerged as a key driver of digital transformation and economic growth in Vietnam. Its development is not only enhancing national competitiveness but also creating new opportunities for innovation across production, services, and public management sectors.
