Vietnam to send trade delegation to Russia and Belarus in September
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) will organise a trade delegation to Russia and Belarus from September 16 to 24, to help Vietnamese companies expand export markets and strengthen economic ties with the Asia-Europe region.
This represents a key activity within the national programme relating to trade promotion this year.
The working trip will take place in the two capitals of Moscow (Russia) and Minsk (Belarus), aiming to create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to access the markets in a practical way and connect with potential partners, thereby increasing the exports to the two countries, especially in the context that Vietnam and Belarus have upgraded their ties to strategic partnership.
The trade promotion delegation is expected to gather together 20 to 25 Vietnamese businesses, with priority given to industries with strong export potential to the Asia-Europe region, including agricultural products, seafood, processed food, garments and textiles, pharmaceuticals, the manufacturing industry, and electronics.
In Belarus, the delegation will participate in a seminar on Vietnam-Belarus trade and investment promotion in Minsk.
In Russia, they will participate in the international import-export festival slated for September 19 at the Moscow World Trade Center. More than 1,000 participants from over 15 countries will attend the event which will feature more than 60 international speakers and over 10 thematic business networking sessions.
Moreover, enterprises will have chances to visit Food City wholesale market which is called the largest agricultural product distribution hub in Russia.
They will also tour around the World Food Moscow Fair, one of the most prestigious and largest international food fairs in Eastern Europe. This will serve as a prime opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to promote their products, learn about consumers’ tastes, and survey the local distribution system.
