Vietnam to attend 2025 SelectUSA Investment Summit
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Finance (MoF) will lead a working delegation to attend the 2025 SelectUSA Investment Summit, the highest profile event in the United States to facilitate business investment, due to take place in Maryland from May 11 to 14.

MoF Minister Nguyen Van Thang was speaking during his working session with US Ambassador Marc Knapper in Hanoi on May 8.
This is one of the key activities aimed at promoting Vietnam - US trade and investment relations, Thang told the ambassador.
He revealed that the delegation would have the highest number of registered participants to date, reflecting the growing interest of Vietnamese businesses in the US investment environment and their desire to strengthen their presence in this market.
In addition to attending and leading activities at the summit, Thang stated, the delegation would also work with US government agencies, business associations, and leading corporations in sectors such as semiconductors, high technology, startups, banking, green finance, and digital finance.
Through these activities, the Vietnamese Government aims to convey a strong message of its commitment to promoting bilateral economic and trade relations in a fair, mutually beneficial, and sustainable manner, especially at a time when the world is undergoing profound changes in global trade policies and environments, he said.
During the meeting, Knapper expressed his delight at the impressive size of the Vietnamese delegation attending the 2025 SelectUSA Summit.
He noted that such strong interest and enthusiastic participation reflect a pivotal moment in the Vietnam - US relationship, as 2025 marks 30 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
This presents an excellent opportunity to explore ways to further deepen Vietnam - US economic and investment relations, he said.
Both Vietnam and the US have witnessed remarkable growth in their bilateral relations in recent times, particularly since the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023.
Thang expressed his belief that, with the Ambassador's central role and the close coordination of all relevant parties, both sides would nurture a future of practical, effective, and long-lasting economic and trade cooperation.
