Vietnam strengthens links at Malaysia Entrepreneurs Day 2025

The Malaysia–Vietnam Association (MVFA), together with Vietnamese enterprises operating both domestically and in Malaysia, is taking an active part in the National Entrepreneurs Day (HUN) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, held from September 12-16.

The five-day event gathers over 1,000 entrepreneurs from within Malaysia and abroad, along with tens of thousands of visitors. Its programme features business networking, exhibitions, cultural showcases, and culinary festivals.

HUN 2025 serves as a comprehensive platform for expanding cooperation in fields such as import–export, tourism, culture, heritage, food, industry, agriculture, investment, and services. Activities include panel discussions, business-matching sessions, product displays, sales, cultural performances, and food festivals, offering visitors an immersive experience.

The organisers target more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, tens of thousands of visitors, and hundreds of new cooperation agreements to boost partnerships and widen market access for local firms.

Vietnam’s presence is marked by booths featuring handicrafts, cuisine, and traditional performances. Exquisite craftwork, diverse dishes, and vibrant music have captured the attention of international visitors. At the bamboo and rattan weaving booth, People’s Artisan Nguyen Van Tinh from Phu Vinh craft village in Hanoi said he and his colleagues sought to showcase traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship to Malaysian and international friends, helping promote stronger ties for local craft villages.

A key highlight was the signing of a three-year memorandum of understanding between the Malaysian Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce (DPUM) and MVFA. The agreement focuses on boosting trade, entrepreneurship, cultural and community exchanges, and knowledge sharing. DPUM President Abu Hasan stressed that the event reflected a balance between tradition and innovation, laying a solid foundation for long-term growth through tourism, exports, and sustainable partnerships.
