Vietnam Smart Factory Expo 2026 to spotlight smart manufacturing
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Smart Factory Expo 2026 (VSE 2026) will take place from June 24–26 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to connect technology providers and manufacturers while supporting Vietnam’s shift toward smart manufacturing.
The event will be organised by the Vietnam National Innovation Centre (NIC) in collaboration with Uninet Exhibition of Singapore, with support from HAN VIET MICE EIMS Co. Ltd. and Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre (BEXCO) of the Republic of Korea.
At a press briefing on March 10, NIC Deputy Director Vo Xuan Hoai said VSE 2026 is designed not just as a tech showcase but as a strategic networking hub linking businesses, investors, experts, and policymakers in smart manufacturing.
Through the event, he said, NIC seeks to promote digital transformation in the processing and manufacturing sector and help Vietnamese firms access advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, 3D printing, and smart factory solutions.
Running alongside VSE will be the Vietnam Hardware Fair 2026 (VHF 2026) to connect companies in mechanical engineering, tools, and industrial equipment, helping strengthen Vietnam’s supporting industries and role in global supply chains.
A key highlight of both events is the expanded focus on clean energy and sustainable development.
According to Mai Duy Thien, chairman of the Vietnam Clean Energy Association (VCEA), future smart factories will increasingly integrate renewable energy solutions such as rooftop solar power, energy storage systems, and smart energy management. These technologies can reduce costs, stabilise power supply, and lower carbon emissions while meeting stricter global sustainability standards.
The VCEA representative emphasised that integrating clean energy into smart manufacturing will give Vietnamese companies a long-term competitive advantage as global supply chains place greater emphasis on sustainability and emissions reduction.
The organisation of VSE and VHF 2026 also reflects Vietnam’s push to build an innovation-driven industrial ecosystem and deepen its role in modern global production networks amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
