Vietnam Online Business Forum 2023 features smart e-commerce

VOV.VN - Vietnam Online Business Forum 2023 running the theme "Smart E-commerce" officially kicked off on April 18 in Hanoi.

The event has been organized annually by the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) since 2017.

This year's function drew the participation of more than 2,500 individuals and businesses operating in the field of e-commerce in both the nation and internationally.

As part of his opening speech at the event, Nguyen Ngoc Dung, chairman of VECOM, said that amid the post-pandemic economy and the global economic crisis, the e-commerce industry has been and is one of the sectors that has made the fastest and strongest changes to adapt to the new situation in the country.

Exploiting the "smart" perspective in e-commerce, the forum focuses deeply on current and future e-commerce trends, business models, and solutions for e-commerce moving forward.

"Smart e-commerce will be a prominent trend in 2023 when AI is considered an inevitable development trend. AI application will completely change the e-commerce industry not only in Vietnam. Therefore, smart e-commerce will be a long story that many experts and big brands in the field of e-commerce will share at this year's forum,” Dung emphasised.

Some hot topics of great attention were also discussed and analysed by speakers and experts at the forum, including market research on smart consumer behavior when buying and spending prudently, e-commerce trends and smart e-commerce business models, new distribution models and the effective use of key opinion consumer (KOC) and key opinion leader (KOL); AI application in e-commerce, and smart technology application for breakthrough growth on e-commerce.

Furthermore, smart financial solutions for e-commerce; smart order growth method on Amazon for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) exporting online; case studies on big brands, implementing effective e-commerce campaigns, branding, and performance; as well as case studies on the process of optimising technology application to manage e-commerce activities in retail - F&B - online export were also touched upon.

Along with the main sessions featuring the participation of many experts, this year the forum also has a session held to connect (networking) experts with attendees.

This represents a new activity in the VOBF programme framework over the years, promising to offer a broad array of activities to connect, boost trade exchanges, and learn from the participants themselves.
