Vietnam-Laos Product Week in Hanoi features signature goods
VOV.VN - The Vietnam-Laos Product Week is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from October 1 to 4, displaying more than 100 signature goods from both countries at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang street.
The event is co-organized by the Domestic Market Management and Development Department under Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Department of Domestic Trade under Laos' Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Running for four days, the program allows consumers and visitors to explore and directly purchase items ranging from food, beverages, and fashion to cosmetics and daily essentials.
Laos is bringing specialty items such as glutinous and white rice, beef, buffalo meat, beer, and tea. Vietnamese participants will present traditional foods like com (young sticky rice flakes), banh bot loc (clear shrimp dumplings), banh cha (baked pork pastry), fish sauce, and to he (traditional toy figurines), alongside vegan and natural cosmetics.
Organizers noted that direct retail sales enable consumers to verify product origins and make purchases on-site, while giving enterprises direct access to consumer feedback in Hanoi. This interaction serves as a practical basis for businesses to evaluate market expansion, refine product development, and secure distribution channels.
