Vietnam is Germany’s reliable partner amid complicated global economic situation
In the context of the complicated global political and economic situation, German businesses affirm that Vietnam is a top reliable partner, according to an event recently organised by the German Association for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BVMW).

The annual event "Future day of small and medium-sized enterprises 2025” brought together nearly 8,000 German businesses in Berlin.
Under the theme "Creating a solid foundation for social prosperity", the event served not only as a networking forum between businesses and politicians but also as a platform for leading experts to share groundbreaking ideas about the future of the sector which is considered the backbone of the German economy.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin opened a booth at the gathering, as part of the activities commemorating the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.
According to Vietnamese Trade Counselor Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, the agencies in charge of economic, investment and trade affairs of the Vietnamese Embassy have built close partnerships with BVMW over the years, which is demonstrated through numerous bilateral investment promotion activities. Notably, a successful investment promotion event took place in Rostock last February, with plans to expand activities in Dortmund next May.
BVMW also plans to organise two delegations of German businesses to visit Vietnam in September and October 2025 to explore cooperation opportunities, she said.
Currently, BVMW has approximately 900,000 member companies, 300 representative offices nationwide, and representatives from 75 countries. It organises nearly 2,000 business networking events annually. In the context of the complicated global political and economic situation, German businesses affirmed that Vietnam is a top reliable partner and called on both sides to further open their markets, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
