Vietnam Goods Week 2026 promotes trade links and export opportunities across Asia
VOV.VN - Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade and AEON Group are jointly organising Vietnam Goods Week 2026 from June 11-14 across AEON's retail network in Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), China and Cambodia, aiming to promote Vietnamese products, strengthen trade links and expand export opportunities.
The event draws the participation of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang, representatives of Vietnam's trade offices in Asia, local industry and trade departments, and around 20 Vietnamese companies in the food, agricultural, consumer goods, handicrafts and processed-products sectors.
At the opening ceremony on June 11, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang noted that 2026 marks 10 years since the ministry and AEON launched Vietnam Goods Week in Japan.
Vietnamese businesses are increasingly adopting green, clean and sustainable production practices, using environmentally friendly materials, improving energy efficiency and strengthening social responsibility across supply chains to meet evolving consumer trends and increasingly stringent standards in the Japanese market, she said.
The event offers Japanese consumers a broad introduction to Vietnam's products, culture and tourism through product showcases, cultural activities and tourism activities.
Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in Japan Ta Duc Minh said this year's event features a wide range of products, including high-quality rice and rice-based products, dried fruit, cashew nuts, traditional spices, bird's nest products and regional specialties, alongside textiles, handicrafts and household goods designed to meet changing consumer demand in Japan.
In addition to activities at AEON LakeTown Mori in Saitama Prefecture, the programme is being rolled out across more than 400 AEON stores nationwide, helping Vietnamese products reach consumers throughout Japan.
The simultaneous organisation of Vietnam Goods Week across multiple Asian markets continues to demonstrate the effectiveness of cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and AEON in supporting Vietnamese businesses' deeper participation in international distribution networks, enhancing the value of Vietnamese brands and spurring sustainable exports in the new period.
