Vietnam, Germany firms jointly develop wind power projects

VOV.VN - Vu Phong Energy Group and Steag Energy Services GmbH of Germany signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Hanoi on December 15 to jointly provide consulting services for the implementation of wind power projects nationwide.

Pham Nam Phong, CEO of Vu Phong Energy Group, said both sides would team up with wind power investors as part of efforts to create high-quality clean energy projects in Vietnam.

The move will contribute to the sustainable development of the energy industry and support energy transition in Vietnam, helping it fulfil greenhouse gas emission commitments made at the recent UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), he said.

Earlier this year Vu Phong Energy Group and Steag Energy Services GmbH collaborated in providing Value Driven Asset Management services to Vietnam’s growing wind power industry, helping maximize wind farms’ production capacity and bring profit for financiers.

Vu Phong Energy Group is a leading Vietnamese renewable energy firm, boasting outstanding Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) general contractor capabilities. It has won many international prizes, including The Solar Future Awards 2021 and The Asian Power Awards 2021.

Steag Energy Services GmbH is the world’s leading energy group with a workforce of roughly 6,400 employees. It is known as Germany’s greatest large-scale energy developer with a series of energy projects totaling around 7,200 MW, and as a provider of high-quality energy services globally.
