Vietnam-Brazil trade volume, exports set new record

(VOV) - The two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Brazil swelled 36% year-on-year to hit US$3.2 billion in 2014, according to statistics from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC).

Last year Vietnam exports escalated 38.5% to US$1.58 billion and imports from the South American country appreciated 33.6% to US$1.6 billion.

Vietnam’s key exports to Brazil included mobile phones and spare parts, footwear, frozen fish fillet, fiber and electronics.

It imported mainly corn, soya bean, cotton, tobacco material, pepper and steel.
