Vietcombank named Best Place to Work in Vietnam
The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) has been honoured as the “Best Place to Work in Vietnam 2025,” retaining its No. 1 position in the banking sector and ranking second overall among large enterprises.
The ranking, released by consulting firm Anphabe, is based on a survey of more than 73,000 workers and nearly 800 companies. The programme is endorsed by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and verified by Intage Vietnam to ensure objectivity. This year marks the 10th consecutive year that Vietcombank has topped the banking industry for workplace quality.
The bank also received two additional awards: “Best Employer of Choice by Vietnam Students 2025” and “Representative Company with a Happy Workforce 2025.” These results reflect rising interest in the bank’s HR policies and corporate culture.
Vietcombank said its consistent presence in the “Best Place to Work in Vietnam” rankings stems from a long-term people strategy centred on training, capability development and strengthened governance.
Hong Quang, Member of the Board of Directors and Head of Human Resources Division at Vietcombank, said maintaining this position for a decade is not a short-term achievement but the outcome of a disciplined and consistent HR strategy, adding that the bank always places employees “at the centre of its development.”
The bank employs more than 24,000 staff members. Recent reforms include standardising competency frameworks, establishing clearer career pathways and enhancing transparency in performance assessments. Vietcombank is also accelerating digital transformation in HR, using online recruitment systems that simplify applications and reduce administrative procedures.
Alongside recruitment, Vietcombank runs regular internal training courses, workshops and skills programmes to strengthen its workforce, a core component of its human-capital strategy through 2030.
The bank also maintains a comprehensive benefits system focused on employee welfare. The Trade Union and Youth Union organise cultural and sports events, wellbeing activities and internal engagement programmes. Regular employee forums and labour conferences are held to gather feedback and fine-tune HR policies.
Annual employee-engagement surveys show consistently high satisfaction and loyalty levels, supporting the bank’s efforts to improve its working environment and foster a sustainable corporate culture.
