US ambassador visits Surat Thani, takes note of local trade, economic situation
United States Ambassador to Thailand Glyn T. Davies visited Surat Thani province to take note of trade and economic situation in the southern province.

Surat Thani Provincial Governor Wichawut Chinto welcomed the US ambassador for his official visit to the province to observe its trade and economic situation an working cooperation between Thailand and the United States.
The ambassador expressed his condolences for the passing of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, saying that he himself observed the period of mourning for the late monarch.
The visiting US convoy held talk with the provincial governor and key business figures in Surat Thani about its economy, trade, investment, and agriculture.
He also viewed an exhibition organized in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun at Surat Thani Provincial Hall.
