Information about the event was released by Luong Van Tu, Chairman of the Vietnam Coffee-Cocoa Association (VICOFA) during a press conference held in Hanoi on November 29.

Ahead of this year’s event, Vietnam Coffee Day is seen as a vital trade promotion activity for the coffee sector with coffee brands from Gia Lai province and the wider Central Highlands region set to receive a platform  for enterprises to promote their brands worldwide.

A diverse range of activities are expected to be held over the three-day function, including an exhibition featuring 100 stalls displaying coffee products from an array of prestigious businesses from six provinces, including Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Kon Tum, and Son La.

In addition to the stalls, fact-finding tours to local coffee gardens will also be offered to those in attendance, whilst trade exchanges between approximately 200 local firms and 70 businesses from 12 different countries will take place.

This year’s event will also mark the first time that visitors will have the chance to sample free coffee.

The 2019 version of the event is expected to build on past successes and draw thousands of visitors.

Under the organisation of the VICOFA, the special day offers businesses the ideal venue in which to gain further insights into the market, whilst sharing experience in coffee production, processing business activities, seeking out new partners, promoting their respective products, and signing contracts.
