Thanh Tri bridge-Highway 5 interchange begins construction
(VOV) - Transport Minister Dinh La Thang kick-started the construction of the interchange between Thanh Tri bridge and National Highway No 5 in Hanoi on October 19.
The VND800 billion bidding package has been implemented under an ODA loan agreement sourced by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister Thang highlighted concerted efforts by the project management board, contractors and design units to implement the project smoothly.
To ensure the project progress, he asked Hanoi to take effective measures to complete the land acquisition process in the fourth quarter of the year.
General Director of the Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No.4 (Cienco 4) Le Ngoc Hoa, who represents contractors CIENCO4 Thang Long said that they will mobilize all resources including equipment, human resources, and finance to ensure that the interchange will open to traffic before the Lunar New Year Festival 2016 (Tet).
