The Intellectual Property Agency on June 8 granted a certificate of geographic authenticity for Thanh Ha litchi in northern Hai Duong province.

Having received a certificate recognized by the State, Thanh Ha litchi will be protected in the market. The trademark also helps ensure the interests of growers and consumers, as well as creating favourable conditions for the management of the litchi.

With the trademark, Thanh Ha litchi will be sold at a higher price, around VND10,000 per kg instead of the current VND5,000 per kg.
